Karen Mom of Three's Craft Blog Dolly Summer School- Easy Sew Projects
Thank you for joining us this week for our Summer School Easy Sew Projects. Even if you are new to sewing, thinking about getting a machine or have sewn for years we hope you will enjoy this weeks projects.
One of the first sewing projects I ever did for my doll was turning this baby Christmas gown I got at a yard sale for 50 cents into a perfect ball gown. My tutorial can be found by clicking here.
If hand sewing is more your speed click here for my doll sized tea bag tutorial.
I had so much fun creating dolly casts and this hospital gown when I started sewing and I shared my tutorial here on my blog. Click here for the tutorial and pattern.
My niece Trinity asked me for a neck pillow for her doll many years ago and this was the first one I sewed and shared my pattern of, I also made one later on for Doll Diaries but here is my original tutorial click here to make your own.
So many fun memories creating the sleep mask as well. Click here for my pattern and tutorial.
My niece Laura really wanted a party hat for her dolls that would not rip so I set out and made her this one out of felt and elastic. I was so happy with how it turned out. I have shared this tutorial and pattern in many places but click here for the original one! Then here for a more step by step one.
I made a mini doll sleeping bag for Doll Diaries one year and this is a fun starting out tutorial for machine sewing. Click here for that tutorial.

Three Books For Doll Lovers To Love From The Book Depository
I grew up on Barbie and Cabbage Patch Dolls and I still lover them. I found this book for sewing for 12 inch dolls on The Book Depository and this is a book I think that you may love as well. Some of these patterns could easily work with the 6 inch mini AG dolls or the Lori dolls too. This book is perfect for beginning sewers and recommend for ages 7 and up. Click here to learn more about I CAN MAKE DOLL'S CLOTHES You can make 9 outfits with the patterns provided in this book.
Growing up I remember my mother who hated to sew, took a class and made me one of these dolls. I loved it so much. She took this class for a few weeks and at the end brought me one of these hand made dolls. I wish it had survived and that I still had it. This book however is about how to use doll play to explore feelings and explain culture. Click here to learn more.
I ordered this book for my niece last year from the book depository and she loved it. She is looming her way on to bigger projects each day! Click here to learn about this fun and easy craft where you can create for the 18 inch dolls and the mini dolls too!
