Brandy's version of American Girl Caroline's Parlor

Today is the fourth Caroline Inspired post from Contributing Blogger Brandy!
Here is How to Make Caroline’s Parlor:

"When American Girl came out with their new historical character, Caroline,
my daughters quickly fell in love with the doll and her accessories.  One of
Caroline’s beautiful accessories was her parlor.  My goal with this project
was to transform a living room suite my daughter’s already had into
Caroline’s parlor."

"First I contacted the doll furniture makers (Payne Street Doll Boutique) of
the set my daughters already had to see if they could make the fireplace a
set of andirons.  And sure enough they could!  They came out super cute."

The large ship picture was found on an internet search.

The mini ship is a small scaled version of the USS Constitution.  This ship
was an important part of the battle of 1812.  A perfect find for the doll of
1812!  This was found at Amazon.com.

The Sailor’s Valentine was also made.  Details on this can be found in a
previous post.

The Candlesticks were purchased from www.caseyswood.com.  Each was painted
in a creamy white and silver with yellow flame accents.

I wanted to add more blue to the living room because Caroline’s parlor is
predominately blue.  To do this I made four blue accent pillows.  Attached
to each are iron-on patches of a ship anchor or wheel.  These patches were
found on Ebay.

A little shell and some gingerbread cakes also add to the décor.  You can
find out how to make the ginger bread cakes on a previous post earlier this week.

Enjoy!
