New Melody Valerie Couture Patterns Offered on Liberty Jane

I follow Liberty Jane on Facebook and I get the Liberty Jane Email Updates this week I was so pleased to see these new patterns offered on Liberty Jane. The above pattern Snowdrop is one of the nicest dress patterns I have seen come out for sale in the last year.

I have not written much about Melody Valerie Couture in the past largely due to the cost of the patterns, the pattern offered above is priced at $8.99 and as a novice seamstress I am not as likely to part with that much for a pattern I am not sure I could complete. That being said this pattern may change my mind.

Liberty Jane pattern website is offering several of Melody Valerie Couture patterns like Bluebelle shown above

Lily of the Valley

These dress patterns and dresses are gorgeous. I would love to hear your thoughts on Melody Valerie Couture, the ease of her patterns and your thoughts on the price of her patterns on the Liberty Jane Website. So please share your thoughts, you can email me at karenmowen@gmail.com or you can leave a comment below. I would love to know what you are working on or sewing these days.
As with all my posts I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com

  1. I agree with you on these patterns, beautiful but pricy. Also, I'm not sure I'd be able to make them, I have enough trouble with Velcro let alone zippers!

  2. I have been in love with the Lilly of the Valley dress for quite a while. But price is also whats stopping me from buying it. We do have 4 dolls now. Maybe if I used the pattern to make a dress for each of them, in different fabrics of course, I could justify spending that much.

  3. I get stopped by the price too. Spoiled by 99 cent simplicity and mccalls patterns. I've been tempted by the lily of the valley pattern too.

  4. These dresses are beautiful, but way beyond my skill level. I would pay $8.99 for the bluebell pattern, if I thought I could make it. Not too long ago I made a couple of "rectangle dresses" from a pattern by Vanilla House designs, and they came out very pretty. Here's a link -- be warned that this pattern is even more expensive than the Melody Valerie Couture patterns!
