January Fun Find, Repurpose this Curling Set for Doll Play

I am very excited to share with you my after Christmas fun find of this curling set I re-purposed for my dolls. I had my eye on it before Christmas when it was priced around $12, it was such a fun find when it was on clearance after Christmas for more then half price. I saw these everywhere, I live in Canada after all, from Sears to Walmart and even my local Super Store Grocery Store. This set is so much fun.

I have always loved the idea of curling and I would love to give it a try. The 2010 Winter Olympics made Curling look like so much fun! My sisters both loved it in there teens and I can not think of anything more Canadian to do in the winter then Curling especially when the NHL is on strike.

For Doll Play the sticks are little short, but the broom handles actually come out really easy and I replaced them with chopsticks.
This makes for a very fun doll play set and I love how it looks with my American Doll Room

The Canadian Curling Association  is a great reference for finding out where to learn to Curl in your area in Canada but if you are in the USA and would like more information please visit the USA Curling Association  . You can visit these great websites by clicking the blue words above.
As with all my posts I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com

  1. How fun! It's the perfect size for your dolls. I didn't realize we have curling here in the US.

I have to admit, when I saw the title of your post in my feed reader, I thought you meant a curler set (like hair rollers). I wondered what on earth you were going to make for your dolls with hair rollers LOL.

  2. Oh Jen that made me laugh! Don't worry I will come up with some craft for "curlers" one day! I have a feeling you would enjoy this sport, it is so fun to watch on tv and I would guess to play!

  3. How fun is that! I would never have even thought of a doll curling set but this is just perfect! I will have to share this with my daughter-- she will love it and be so jealous that you have a doll room! (Second thought, maybe she doesn't need to see this. haha)

Well, I am so glad you stopped by my blog and left your kind comments because it directed me here to see the inspiring and fun projects you have created!

    I am a new follower.
