  1. Thank you so much for featuring my pattern this month. Some people have asked me about the terry cover-up. It's so easy. You just get a terry finger tip towel. I got mine from Walmart, I think. The Cannon ones are good because they're not very thick, but your doll might want a plusher version! Fold the towel in half horizontally. Measure the width of the towel and make a point at a distance of 1/2 the width of the towel. This will be where your neck hole will be. On the side of the towel that you want to be the front, make another point 1/2 the width from the edge of the towel. Then draw a line up to the neck hole point. That's your front opening line. Don't cut it yet. With the towel folded in half horizontally, mark a point about 1/2 inch from the horizontal fold line on your front opening line. Draw a little 1/2 circle or U shape to form a neck hole. Cut down the center to form the front opening. Check it's fit on your doll. You may need to cut a little teeny bit more. You can serge the front opening or bind it with bias binding. Then bind the neck hole with bias binding but leave enough on the ends to be your tie. That's all there is to it! Happy sewing!
