This is a special post for me, I started this blog one year ago today and I could not have imagined then the amazing journey this year has taken me on.
This past year I have traveled to New York and the American Girl and the opening of the Seattle American Girl Doll store. Had 12 doll themed craft parties ten in Vancouver, one in Montreal in April and one in July in California! I have met countless numbers of doll lovers of all ages and had the privilege of interviewing girls, Moms, Aunts, Grandmothers as well as executives in the doll world.
I never thought when I started this blog that more then 100 people would have visited my blog, let alone that I would be publishing daily, or writing 6-8 weeks in advance.
I am so truly thankful to each and every one of you who has stopped by, told a friend, participated in one of my posts or even commented. Your emails and comments of encouragement have meant the world to me.
Looking back at the events of this past year I am amazed at all that has been accomplished in the doll world, on Etsy and on www.dolldiaries.com
I would like to say a huge thank you to the wonderful Etsy shop designers who have donated their creations so that each reader had the same opportunity to win. We have so many more fun contest give away's and reviews of products and shop coming up in the new year and I hope you will stick with me as we continue this journey together.
A huge thank you to the readers who have helped me grow my doll shirt collection I am happy to report that thanks to a secret Santa I will have completed my American Girl Doll Store exclusive T-shirt quest, until they open the new store opens in 2012 that is. More on that in the coming days.
I also can not believe how my doll collection and doll play collection has grown this year, With my Four American Girl Dolls Chrissa, Samantha, Addy, Original Pleasant Company Samantha, Maplelea Doll Brianne, Emily my Australian Girl doll and my yet to be named Bitty Baby that I recently bought at a church sale for $2. In addition to all the doll play items I have created in the last year, it is no wonder that my youngest son had to give up his room so that I could store my items in my "office" which is bursting at the seams.
Speaking of the coming year I have been busy writing and creating for posts for the new year and hope you will continue to check back, comment and share your stories with me so I can share them with others.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting my blog and making it part of your day.
I look forward to sharing more with you tomorrow and wish you a very Happy Holiday season and hope that I will see you back here again soon.
As with all my posts I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com
