123 MULBERRY STREET Pattens, Etsy shop and interview

I am so excited to share with you an interview I did with Sandra of 123 MULBERRY STREET PATTERNS
123 MULBERRY STREET patterns are available for purchase from Liberty Jane's Pattern website click here to go to Liberty Jane's site now.
The first pattern I bought from123 MULBERRY STREET was PJ party and I loved it, it was the slippers that drew me to the pattern and I made a ton of them!
They are easy to make and the patterns are so easy to follow I highly recommend these patterns for beginning sewers.

Sandra of 123 MULBERRY STREET shared with me her story of how she began creating for American Girl dolls,
" I have always loved dolls since i was a child.I first fell in love with American Girl dolls when my youngest daughter saved up to buy herself an American girl doll about 12 years ago. I did make her some outfits but she soon out grew the doll and she was packed away and forgotten for a time."
I asked Sandra about how she came to create for American Girl dolls...
"I started teaching kids sewing classes about 8 years ago and one of my students brought an American girl to class to make some clothes for her. This gave me an idea to make use of all the scraps of fabric that would acccumulate each year, and so 123 Mulberry Street was born (about 3 years ago), I dug out the old american girl and started to sew. It was slow at first but then it started to grow. I have sincepurchased Julie and took aroad trip to Madison Wisconson to the American girl Benifet sale and added to more JLY dolls.I then partnered with Liberty Jane and branched into patterns I currrently have 11 patterns for American girl and 3 for BFC doll for sale"

I also wanted to know about what we can look for from 123 MULLBERRY STREET this year...
"I am currently working on some patterns for Bitty Baby and Bitty Baby Twin"
Personally I can not wait for those patterns! I am so excited to hear this!
So if you love the pattern design's from 123 MULLBERRY STREET but you do not sew you can also

  1. I've had making spa wraps for the dolls on my "To Do" list for a while. I really need to get around to that. I like the looks of those slippers from the PJ Party pattern. Most of the homemade ones I see look kind of odd. I don't know if that's about the pattern or the fabric that you choose.
