I Had A Tea Party Yesterday!

Yesterday I had a Steeped Tea Party at my home. Tea is a large part of my daily routine and this new home based sales company has some of the best loose leaf tea I have ever tasted!

My nieces Laura and Thea (shown above) came too and set up their own dolly tea party outside, beside where we adults were having our tea party. As you can see Thea loves my tea cart from The Queen's Treasures.

Steeped Tea has the most adorable little tea set for sale that is so darling! I have to add this to my collection!
Steeped is now in the USA!!! If you would like more information on hosting your own party with in Canada or the USA click here to view their website.
I have a wonderful time at my tea party and I know my nieces did too. So get a few of your Mom Friends together with their Daughters and Dolls! (or borrow your nieces as I did) and spend a fun afternoon enjoying wonderful teas and each other's company!

My nieces were over yesterday and my three year old niece Thea loves to play with my very loved bitty baby. She was reminding me that I need to get more clothes for the bitty baby so her bitty baby can "borrow" them.  So now that I have some time I thought I would share with you some of my Etsy Favorites for bitty baby and bitty twins.

The above outfit is right up Thea's Alley! She would love this Pink flowered polka dot pant and top set offered by Sassy Doll Creations. Click here to see shop and listing.

Dolls For A Cause

Have you heard about Dolls For A Cause
We are a group of crafters that create unique fashions and accessories for 18 inch dolls like American Girl Dolls. Together, we donate our products to create unique packages that we auction to raise funds for different causes.

Dolls For A Cause all started in 2011 when Dacia of Mini Me Dolly Diva's found a pair of Pink Ribbon socks and made American Girl doll socks from them and realized they needed an ouift to match. She created the first Fight Like A Girl outfit and decided she could not sell it for profit, instead chose to auction it on Ebay and donate the proceeds to http://ww5.komen.org/. Since that first outfit, Dacia created a second outfit in 2012 and with the help of donations from other doll crafters, was able to raise more. Working with Amy of Lemonhead 103 and involving more doll crafters, they spearheaded an Autism Awareness outfit in April of 2013. In August of 2013 we became an actual group with the focus on creating exceptional, unique, doll ensemble packages to auction with all the proceeds to benefit the cause the ensemble is centered around. We now are a group consisting of over 10 crafters, each creating a part of the grouping and donating it to make fantastic one of a kind doll ensembles.
I am so excited to be included in this group of fine crafters and to be able to give back to our communities and causes through our work.  It is our goal to be able to do more then two large fundraisers through auctions per year.
As all of the crafters involved in this process donate their time and materials. We have been told that our auctions would be more successful if we included a doll with our auctions so Dacia of Mini Me Dolly Diva has started our GO FUND ME SITE where doll lovers can join us in raising money to purchase dolls to use in our auction. Our goal is to raise $600 on this site to help us in our journey.
We are all hard at work on our outfits, accessories and even furniture for our up coming October Fundraiser. With your help we can do so much more and raise more funds to donate on be half of Dolls For A Cause.
Join us on Facebook by clicking here to get sneak peaks at what we are making for our up coming auctions.
We look forward to sharing more updates with you soon!

Make Madelon's Sketch Pad and Art Manikin For Your Dolls!

Madelon sent in this fun craft idea to make your own sketch pad.

She was inspired to make this craft for back to school and came across this doll sized fully pose-able manikin she found at her local craft store. The manikin cost less then $5 with her coupon!
I love that the Manikin is doll sized and dolls can hold it easily!
To create your own sketch book  you will need
Paper, Duct tape and Scissors

Step 1-First fold your paper
Step 2- Use your scissors to cut your paper edges
Step 3- Use your tape along the top edge to hold all your paper in place and create an adorable book binding.
Step 4- Write anything you would like on and in your Sketch Pad! Now your Sketch Pad is ready for play!
Another great idea is to create an inspiring space for your doll to draw by hanging mini works of art in her drawing space!
A huge thank you to Madelon for sharing this wonderful craft today !
