Happy New Year, Gabriela and Congrats To Our Tea Time Panel Winner!

Wishing you a very Happy New Year from my new house to yours! I have missed you all so much. I have had a very tough last few weeks with a move that I thought would do me in and lack of internet access that made me feel completely cut off from the world. I am happy to say I am able to write again, thanks to my brother in law who seems to have found me a temporary fix until I can buy a new computer.

On too dolly news! What are you all look forward to most from Gabriela's line? The new GOTY is my second most favorite since they began! My niece and I are supposed to stop by the store and pick her up today. I am so excited to see her in person. I am thrilled American Girl has come up with such a great story and a beautiful doll to get excited about.

I am not a huge fan though of the new boxes....if you have not seen them yet there is a clear plastic front that reminds me of the Cabbage Patch Boxes I got when I was little... I would love to hear your thoughts.
Congrats to Theresa Norris who is the winner of the Tea Time Fabric Panels Prize! Your panel will be sent to you from Tea Time Fabric Panels soon! We can not wait to see how it turns out!
Thank you and best wishes for 2017 to you and your family! With love and appreciation for your patience with me while I moved and got back up and running. Take care!

  1. Hi You Too an Amazing Dolltastic New Year!

Normally i only read the blogs, but this time, after seeing the new doll Gabriela, i just had to respond, She is adorable, no doubt about that, but the box... is just cheap and doesnt give that spark of joy, excitement, it looks like she is just a Journey Girl, through that box only, the doll is really pretty but the box... no just give the normal one back.
Im glad she is a GOTY but the rest does me reminding about other goty, but hey everyone may have an opinion ;) and the doll it self is a nice extra next to Melody!

As long she gives joy to the new friends she will have in young children, that is what counts (ok and the grown up kids who love these dollys too ;) )

Love youre blog and Congratulations for the winner of the pannel!

  2. Happy New Year! I'm glad your move went well and you survived. Having bought Addy and Melody last year, I won't be buying the new girl. Her story doesn't interest me at all. I guess truth to tell, I prefer the historical dolls!

  4. I am super excited about her really sparkly outfit and tap shoes. I am also loving her storyline and the fact that she is a female who is going through trying to overcome her stuttering. I really hope we are able to follow her to a speech therapist and we get a sense of what kids go through when they go through therapy.

The box is not very exciting to me. I prefer the kind with the slide off lid where they can be stored nicely and the plastic can't be punched in by accident. As we all know from dolls in the past, plastic deteriorate over time and turns brown. Not idea for a long-term collectors but OK for those who want to rip those dolls out and play with them. That's just me though. But, I am excited about Gabriella for sure.
