This weekend I was lucky enough to travel to the Seattle American Girl Store with 5 of my nieces and my new 3 week old nephew. The store was packed and we left our homes before 7 am on Saturday and we made it to the store by 11 am.
While we navigated the store my nieces all picked out their wish list items as well as some items to bring home. Trinity picked up Saige and one of her outfits, Hannah got #38, Cadence got Caroline's Cat but called her "glow", Laura got an outfit for Chrissa and Tianna as well as Chocolate Chip and his guide doll set, Thea did not chose anything at the store but picked up a doll at walmart later that she loved as she was a ballet dolly.
Thea and Laura had a secret, while I was talking to one of the personal shoppers they managed with the help of their mom and aunt to pick me up Ivy. The Doll I have wanted forever! I was so excited to get her out of the package when we got back to the hotel I did not set the photo up and took this with the IPAD. I am so excited and she is such a great doll.
American Girl stores offer the service of personal shoppers who are fantastic. I highly recommend them and the lady who was talking with me had so much knowledge and you could tell that she loved her job. Sadly I have misplaced her card but I will track her down and share her name with you.
UPDATE! I found the card the personal shopper is Jody Blaylock! She was fantastic and I recommend you ask for her next time you are in store!
I was also thrilled to have been able to meet up with another adult doll collector and doll lover while on my trip and I loving meeting up with people who read my blog! I hope to have another trip to the Seattle store later this spring and hope to bring a few more of my friends and have a few more of you come out and join us for a cup of hot chocolate or coffee! Let me know if you want to join us on a weekend trip this spring!
As with all my posts I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com
