Sew A Purse For A Great Cause

One of our wonderful readers pointed this project out to me and thought some of you may be interested in participating. Sew Powerful and Liberty Jane (the people behind Pixie Faire)have come up with an incredible way of helping girls in Zambia attend school. "The purses you provide are used in local schools and clinics in Lusaka Zambia as part of Menstration Hygiene Management (MHM) programs. This simple gift – combined with re-usable sanitary pads and health information can make a tremendous difference in the lives of adolescent girls. Read about the amazing results of our 2014 Sew Powerful Purse Project here. Our ministry partners work hard to educate and inform the girls in their community so that they stay in school and grow in confidence and self-esteem. It really is sew powerful!"
This is an amazing program and if you can help sew a purse and mail it before October 1 to the address provided in the link you will be making a difference in the life of another person.
Thank you to reader Darlene for alerting me to this wonderful project.
As with all our posts we would love to hear from you so please leave us a comment here or email us at karenmowen@gmail.com
