Madelon's Terrific Tuesday Finds! Barbie Advent (Yes Please!) and OG Pets You Will Love!

I am 42 years old and advent calendars are still one of my most favorite things ever for the holidays. Growing up I would have loved something like this from Barbie! So much so I think I want to buy this for myself! While chocolate calendars are what I grew up with, this one makes me want to give up chocolate in the name of fun and Barbie fashion! Madelon found this one on sale and on the Gilt Website, you can find it by clicking here.

But that is not all Madelon found, she also was in store at Target and bought her doll family some wonderful new pets!

2015 Advent Swap Day 1

Welcome to this years Dolly Advent Swap! This year is the 4th time I have participated in the Dolly Advent Swap on Swap Bot. I am constantly amazed at my partners for the time and effort they have put into my swaps! So with out further delay here is Day 1

Sew In Style Project #5 Complete. Check Out My Messenger Bag!

As you may know if you read my New Years Resolutions I am sewing my way through  Erin Hentzel's Sew IN Style Doll clothes book this year.  I have now completed 5 projects out of the 22 projects included in this book!

This pattern is so much fun to make and is great for using up scrap fabric! I loved how this came together and I made 4! It slips easily over my dolls head and even holds some small doll items!
It dawned on me that with 22 projects in this book this would be the perfect book to pick up and sew along with me and in the end you will only have to make two additional items and you will have 24 items for your own ADVENT CALENDER for next year!

Merry Christmas....Advent Swap Bonus Gift

Well one of my wonderful partners included an extra gift in the swap box for me this year with a do not open until Christmas day. So here is what I opened!

I opened a soft and cuddly blanket, of hand tied fleece in a fun winter pattern on one side and polka dots on the other! I love this! What a great dolly gift ! Thank you Sew Crazy!

Advent Day 24, Last package now open!

Well it is the last day of my Advent Swap and I hope you have had as much fun as I have. Today I open the last package from Skippy's Mom!

I opened the most wonderful outfit from Skippy's Mom, the hand made overalls with the little latches are functional and adorable! I love that there are leggings as well! The bright yellow bow matches the little heart on the overalls and the best part are the painstakingly hand made hightops in black and pink! As always I am very spoiled by Skippy's Mom and I am so thrilled with everything she has put together for me. Thank you to all my partners in this years swap and I look forward to sharing more about next years swap with you again in the fall of 2015.

Spoiled once again by my wonderful friend. The little bear slippers are so cute and the perfect fit! I wish the pj's were in my size! So cozy and soft! The little bear is darling as well!

Dolly Advent 2014 Day 10!

Day 10 and Skippy's Mom has made the most amazing little package for me!

This package was full of fun surprises and adorable accessories! A Hospital set with cards, x-rays, hospital bracelet, casts (which are signed) and so much more! I am so lucky to have such amazing partners each year in my swap!

Advent 2014 Day 2

Day 2 and already so much fun! Jillian is now wearing  yesterday's Pj's I could hardly wait to open a package today!

I am in awe! I love this blanket! I wish I could crochet so badly! This is just like the one my grandmother made me in the 1970's! Love it and the colors are fantastic!

2014 Advent Day 1

It is December 1st and today is the first day of my Advent Calender Swap! My first gift has just been opened!
