My Girl Doll Shop Now Has A Facebook Shop!

My Girl Doll now has a Facebook shop and I am so excited. Especially for those who live in Australia. These beautiful dolls don't have as many options as their 18 inch cousins over here in North America so it is wonderful to see My Girl Doll filling that need!

You can check out the wonderful handmade items offered by clicking here
I love the fashion forward way My Girl Doll has brought color and style to Crochet outfits that make them desirable and trendy for today's dolls!
These fun outfits are not your average crochet creations and just wonderful on the Australian Girl Dolls.

Love For Australian Girl Dolls!

I keep seeing wonderful posts and visitors from my readers in Australia and today I wanted to give a big shout out to them! Australia has their own line of Dolls and I love this line. These dolls are 20 inches tall. I have Emily and she is one of the most loved dolls in our doll family. My niece Beth has claimed her as her favorite and her own!
I posted these photos to my Instagram account earlier this week and you can see by the pictures just how photogenic Emily is!
She has a molded upper body so she looks really cute in sun dresses!

My friend Chris Lucas of www.chrislucas.com.au has been creating so many wonderful outfits and posting her photos on our facebook group that I so want to add more of these beautiful dolls to our collection!

You can check out all of the Australian Girl Dolls by visiting Australian Girl's Website by clicking here
They do ship these beauties world wide and trust me you will want to bring them all home!
This is a video from my channel of my niece doing Emily's hair. We love how easily you can style this dolls long lush hair!

Knit A Sweater For Your Dolls In A Weekend!

I did it, I really did it, I completed Knitting my second and now third doll sweater with this wonderful and FREE Pattern from Doll Tag Designs.
This is a fantastic and easy to follow pattern. I have had ONE knitting lesson in my life and only practiced off and on over the last 4 years. I was amazed at how quickly this pattern came together.
I started on a Friday, Knitting under my favorite tree in the yard, took breaks for tea and a mystery. Thankfully I had tea and  Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies to keep me company.
I knit for a few hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I was so proud of myself. There are lots of mistakes in my sweater for sure but I really learned from them.
My niece was visiting from the Island and very kindly posed with my Australian Girl Doll Emily  for those of you who have these wonderful Australian Dolls this pattern for simple sweaters will also fit your dolls!
When I was finished knitting the sweater for the 18 inch dolls, I wanted to try the same method for the mini dolls and I think I had great sucess! I played around with the measurements a bit but I am pleased with how it turned out!
I think that if I can knit these sweaters you can too, now is the perfect time to pick up your needles and give these easy sweaters a try!
As with all my posts I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment here or email me at karenmowen@gmail.com

Adventurous Emily's Easter Egg Hunt ~ Emily The Australian Girl Doll

Today I am so excited to share photos with you that my niece and I were able to do this week during Spring Break of Emily our Australian Girl Doll.
My niece has admired Emily  for so long and on this Spring break trip we decided to use her for our Easter Photo shoot.
One of the things we love most about Emily our Australian Doll is her hair, Beth has spent hours styling and re styling her long luxurious hair!
I made Emily her Easter dress from this wonderful pattern I got from Kotton Candy Doll Fashions Etsy Shop. What is great about this pattern is that it fits most 18 inch dolls and even looks super cute on Australian Girl Dolls.
I played around with the collars and made a dress for Chrissa as well!
Another thing we love about Emily and all the Australian Girl Dolls is that they have a separated toe so they can actually wear flip flops.

These dolls are priced at $119.95 Australian and and They Ship world wide.

There are 5 beautiful dolls to choose from.
You can visit their shop on line by clicking any of the highlighted words in our post or click here
