Make Your Own Doll Fascinators For The Royal Wedding

Years back I shared my tutorial on Doll Diaries for doll sized Fascinators. I created these fun accessories for  my dolls and friends ahead of the last royal wedding and this past weekend I was back at it making some for myself for the Royal Wedding on May 19th!

I am a big fan of the floral ones and made 5 different ones just for fun.

Getting Ready For St. Patrick's Day! A Madelon's Fun Find!

Madelon get's us into the St. Patrick's Day spirit with this fun idea for Dolly Food for St. Patrick's day and it will  not break the bank!
"For this craft, I purchased a four leaf clover towel from the dollar store and a set of $1 gel clings."

Just stack two or three on top of each other. I sealed with a glitter Mod Podge ($1 at Target).

They don't have the cling feel any more but still have the jello texture.

 Use a St. Patrick's Day dish cloth as a table cloth and look for fun doll sized cups like this one at your dollar stores!

Madelon's My Life As Dance Recital Dress and Mini Macarons

 Madelon's Doll is modeling a My Life As outfit and showing her mini Macraon craft today!
"Kirsten wears a My Life As Dance recital dress. The light purple and soft grey feel very Springlike, so she wears it as a special occasion dress. Note that the fit on the dress is tight (Kirsten is an older model and has more filling than other current AG dolls) and the shoes don't fit her feet. But for $9.97 the dress and headband work. On a slimmer doll the dress would fit looser and the shoes would cover the entire foot."

Using little dome stickers, I put the domes together and let a little of the white sticker show to make them look like Macarons.

 These bite sized doll treats match her outfit perfectly!

Madelon's Tutorial For Dolly Crem Brulee

 Madelon shares with us her tutorial for making her dolls Crem Brulee.
"Since Grace's arrival I have been interested in French doll desserts. I wanted to make a Crem brûlée but didn't know how."

" My pink ceramic dish came from the clearance department in Michaels. I thought it could be my colorful ramekin. All I did was fill it with Elmer's glue and waited about five days for it to harden. When it was set I used gel crayons in yellow, orange and brown and a wet paintbrush for blending."

I love how this turned out Madelon! Crem Brulee is a favorite dessert of mine!

Mini Doll Couture Dresses A Tutorial By Karen Mom of Three

I have had this one knee length sock I bought to make a full sized 18 inch doll dress from the dollar store for more then a year now and decided to use the left over sock to make new outfits for the mini dolls. Out of one sock I was able to make 3 pretty fun and easy to put on dresses my nieces just love!

Simply by measuring the sock and cutting along the stripes at the right length and then snipping a 1/2 inch on each side in the third stripe for arm holes the dress is almost ready!

Slide the doll into your dress and using a small hair elastic (which I found in a package at my Dollar Store) as a belt your dress is ready to wear.
Add a button with a dab of glue or just leave as is.

You can have a long evening gown or a short and fun tea style dress, fold or cut the material to the length you want as I did with Kit!

These dresses turned out great! I was able to make 3 mini doll dresses and likely could have gotten 4 out of one Knee Length Dollar Store Sock!

Not bad to get so much use out of one $1.25 pair of socks!  See what you can make for your mini dolls with items you may already have in your craft box like I did!
