New Year, New Project...SEW ALONG WITH ME!

Well it is a New Year. With the new year I  bring you a new year long project, I would like you to join me in. Each month I will pick a Free Pattern, share it with you here and have you sew one along with me. When you have sewn yours please email me a photo of your completed project  at karenmowen@gmail.com and you will be entered into the monthly draw for a prize.
This month I have chosen a  wonderful free t-shirt pattern from New Green Mama!

If you have wanted to learn to sew, or if sewing doll clothes is on your New Years resolutions let's do it together.  In December I posted about a free t-shirt pattern  from  New Green Mama
I think this is a great pattern to start our adventure with!

So find sometime this month to sew and then down load the free pattern and start on your sewing adventure, this pattern is easy to do, inexpensive and a great pattern to start with! Remember you do not need to put the ruffle on, just sew the basic shirt pattern.
Here is my finished t-shirt with out the embellishment.  I can not wait to see how yours turns out! Email me your photos to karenmowen@gmail.com
Click the highlighted words in this post to down load your own pattern for this great free t-shirt pattern  Sew this free pattern t-shirt

  1. Happy New Year Karen! This is a great idea! After you posted your 13 dolly resolutions, I made a list of my own, so between that list and this sewing challenge, you're going to keep me very busy in 2013.

  2. This is such a wonderful idea! I love sewing for dolls, and I'm a junkie for collecting free patterns... but I don't always find time to put them to work. That one has been saved on my computer for a long time, but I haven't used it yet, so I'd love to give it a try! :) Now, the challenge is to find time!

  5. Hello Karen I gave my two Granddaughter's each a Mapelea doll with backpacks. I spent much of Nov and Dec sewing for these dolls and had a great time. I have such fond memories of my Mother walking around with a small suit case leading up to Christmas and I knew it contained hand made Barbie doll cloths. Now my Granddaughter will share in this memory. Yesterday we made four pairs of duck tape shoes for their dolls what a laugh. Emma is learning to sew and has looked through my (ever increasing) binding of patterns and she will begin her sewing career making and designing clothing for he Mapelea. I will take on your challenge and have added your blog to my favorite list
