Happy New Year Karen! This is a great idea! After you posted your 13 dolly resolutions, I made a list of my own, so between that list and this sewing challenge, you're going to keep me very busy in 2013.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful idea! I love sewing for dolls, and I'm a junkie for collecting free patterns... but I don't always find time to put them to work. That one has been saved on my computer for a long time, but I haven't used it yet, so I'd love to give it a try! :) Now, the challenge is to find time!
ReplyDeleteSue and Sophie, I am so happy you commented on today's post, this is going to be a fun year, just set aside one hour, put on a pot of tea and from printing to sewing you will be done in less then an hour and be so very happy you did! I can not wait to see photos of your work! Thank you for considering this fun project! I have actually pre written the entire years worth of posts with links to some really great free projects and tutorials. I am so happy you have decided to sew along with me!
ReplyDeleteI accept this challenge! I love this idea Karen! Should prove to be a fun year! Can hardly wait to see the next one! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHello Karen I gave my two Granddaughter's each a Mapelea doll with backpacks. I spent much of Nov and Dec sewing for these dolls and had a great time. I have such fond memories of my Mother walking around with a small suit case leading up to Christmas and I knew it contained hand made Barbie doll cloths. Now my Granddaughter will share in this memory. Yesterday we made four pairs of duck tape shoes for their dolls what a laugh. Emma is learning to sew and has looked through my (ever increasing) binding of patterns and she will begin her sewing career making and designing clothing for he Mapelea. I will take on your challenge and have added your blog to my favorite list
ReplyDeleteYay Marjorie and Annette! I am so happy you will join me! Happy Sewing everyone remember to email me your photos of your t-shirt!
