Throwback Series To The Toys We Loved- Brandy's Baby Doll

Today Brandy shares her most favorite childhood doll with all of us...
Baby doll "My favorite “baby” was a 20 inch doll by Berjusa. I think these dolls are called LaBaby and the company has now changed its name to Berenguer. I named this doll Rachel and I carried her everywhere. I have no idea how old I was when I got her…sometime in the 1980s…I just always remember her being there. Love her so much. I gave her to my own daughters to cherish….of course I made sure they were old enough not to destroy her. Lol."

Thank you Brandy for sharing your favorite toys and memories with all of us.

We are so thrilled you joined us today and we would love to hear from you so please leave us a comment here or email us at karenmowen@gmail.com

Throwback Series To The Toys We Loved - Brandy's 5th and 6th Choices

This week Brandy shares her 5th and 6th choice for favorite childhood toys...

Barbie " I had several Barbie dolls but by FAVORITE was my Day-to-Night Barbie from 1984. Even at a young age I loved that she had a successful career and could be fabulous and sassy at night. Lol."

She-Ra "I’m thinking I was 10 when She-Ra came out…so maybe 1985. I loved how fierce and heroic she was!"

Karen here - I too loved She-Ra! I had a poster in my room for the longest time!

Thank you Brandy for sharing these from your list with all of us today. We would love to hear from you so please leave us a comment here or email us at karenmowen@gmail.com

Throwback Series To The Toys We Loved - Brandy's 3rd and 4th Favorite Toys

This week's Throwback to the toys we loved addition has another two of Brandy's favorites!
I have to say I have her first one! My mother in law recently found my sister in laws set which is the very one that Brandy is sharing today!

Tupperware Tea Set "I love this little tea set! I’ll always remember my Dad and I having tea parties on our back porch. I served the best tea aka water around! I think this is a 1979 set. Four year old tea parties are a blast!"
These are so iconic and that Orange pitcher was a huge part of my own dolly tea parties too!
Dollhouse My 1981 Fisher Price Dollhouse was an absolute unforgettable favorite! It had lights that really lit up! I loved making my own furniture out of jewelry boxes and popsicle sticks!

These are just two more of Brandy's favorites! Join us again next Thursday to see what another member of our team has chosen to share from their childhoods!

Throwback Series The Toys We loved- Brandy's First two picks...

Today in our series about our favorite toys Brandy shares two of her favorites. A treasured Monkey and a much loved little doll!
Zippy the Monkey "One of my earliest memories of my toys was my Zippy Monkey. I’m thinking I got him around 1979 or 1980. I remember playing with my next-door neighbor, Aubrey, who was a few years older than myself. She had a Zippy Monkey and I fell in love with him. She let me borrow the toy until Santa delivered me one of my very own. I still remember the sound of the squeaker in his arm. "

Strawberry Shortcake "LOVE this doll so much! I think I got her in 1981 or I must have been 6. I played with this doll every day for years! I recently saw a vintage Strawberry shortcake in a Target store the other day; the scent flooded me with a ton of childhood memories."

We would love to hear from you on your favorite childhood toys, join us next week to see what another member of the team has selected to share.

Brandy's Special Dog E-Collar!

Today Brandy Shares with us her Craft for a Dog E-Collar for the American Girl Doll Pets

How to make an E Collar for your American Girl Doll Pets:

My daughters love to play with their Payne Street Doll Boutique Vet Set.
They were playing one day and asked if I could make them an E Collar for
Argos.  This is a very simple craft.

First I made a pattern by tracing a plate and cup.  I cut out my pattern and
traced it onto a piece of white foam paper.  I cut out the collar.  I then
used an eyelet hole puncher and punched four holes on one end and two on the
other.  I used an eyelet setter and hammered in the 6 eyelets.  Finally I
tied black ribbon into the ends and looped them together.

I chose eyelets because I knew there would be lots of tension on the foam
with my daughters tying and untying the collar.  If you don't have any
eyelets don't worry; just be careful when tying.

Get creative and use different colored foam paper, eyelets, and ribbon!

Thank you so much Brandy for this fun craft and for sharing it with us here today!
