Madelon's Review of the Star Spangled Fan Gear

Today Madelon is sharing her review of the new Star Spangled Fan Gear she got at the AG store....

"This $34 outfit was issued in January just in time for the 2018 Olympics. It comes with a Pom Pom hat, red sunglasses, top, pants, sneakers. I like the vibrant colors of this look. The pant legs fit close to the leg. I like the bright red of the pants. I really only trust red fabric made by American Girl on American Girl dolls. Other brands concern me with the possibility of staining the vinyl. That is why I was willing to pay more."

"I wish the outfit cost less-maybe $24.95. It is marked special edition star spangled fan gear on the box so I don't expect they will make a lot more of these. American Girl has been holding more sales than it used to like the berry sale it had last week. Hopefully it will be reduced soon, the silver sneakers make a great neutral shoe."

A look at the Grand Hotel From AG

Today Madelon shares with us her thoughts and pictures on the Grand Hotel Playset at American Girl.

Most of this set is plastic, sadly , for this price I would have liked to have seen higher quality wooden items.

The $275 grand hotel is pictured in the background. The walls are wooden with the lobby on one side and the room in reverse.

I do love the details that went into this set!

Tysons Corner Center Presents American Girl's Melody Summer Block Party

Madelon kindly shared with me an up coming event at the Tysons Corner Center American Girl Store...

Celebrate the arrival of Melody Ellison! This event will give girls a glimpse into Melody’s world in 1964 Detroit, where she learns to lift her voice for fairness and justice. Girls can listen to the music that inspired Melody and will be immersed in her world with special block-party food (Saturday only) and decor. Plus, each girl will take part in a fun craft.

The Melody Summer Block Party event is onFriday, August 26 from 11am–3pm, Saturday, August 27 from 11am-3pm and Sunday, August 28from 12pm-4pm. It is intended for girls ages 8 and up. The event is free.

Bitty Baby and Twin Visit At The Miami Store - Madelon's Trip Visit #6

Spend a few hours ( I mean minutes) in the bitty baby section of the American Girl store and you will see why this line is so important!

Bitty babies are truly a sweet part of the American girl line.

Fun and colorful outfits that match little ones are just one part I adore in this line!

The faces of the bitty babies are as sweet as can be, I love this outfit too!

Sun hats and sand toys such an adorable little set!

The bitty baby dolly bath set is so much fun!

This photo makes me want to run into the store and purchase the entire line and a new bitty baby for myself!

The bitty twin line is one I wish would go on forever. These chubby toddler dolls bring such a smile to my face. I loved it when my nieces got them and I even have a pair for myself. I think the line is wonderful and I will be sad to see it go.

I love the blue outfits!

The stroller is such a great piece, I wished I had had something like this growing up.

Snap up bitty twin and bitty baby deals while you can! I wish I could add a set of each twin and each bitty baby to our own doll play collections.

Madelon's Trip To The Miami Store Part 5

The Miami store is huge and today we continue to share with you photos from Madelon's amazing trip!

When planing a trip to any American Girl Store in the USA make sure you give yourself at least half the day to explore and just enjoy the experience. The stores in the USA are usually very spacious and full of items you may not see on line.

The hair salon is a favorite of mine. This month they are featuring this style of the month!

It is awe inspiring to see the hairstylists in action!

The doll spa package is fun and such a treat to take your doll for. They clean up your doll, style her hair and make her look her very best and you get to take home some fun items with that service!

I know it may seem like was are dragging out Madelon's Trip from the American Girl Store to Miami but I hope it feels like it in a good way! Madelon has taken so many amazing photos that it is taking me a while to get through all the photos and do the editing. I hope you are continuing to enjoy this feature.

One thing that the American Girl Stores do really well is store exclusives, often priced very reasonably and aimed at making your experience more enjoyable. Madelon picked out and had a shirt made for her dolls at one of the stores design a T-shirt areas.

Priced under $20 for a doll shirt that you custom make while you are in store is a fun and memorable in store activity.

You can pick your design and each shirt comes in a doll size bag with tissue paper!

You can even watch the process through the little window.
