I get the nicest email from like minded doll lovers and I am always thrilled to hear from my readers. I recently go an email from Youtuber Shosy G. A doll lover who is not just a collector but also working towards her Masters and using doll play as part of Expressive Art Therapy.
" I have been collecting dolls for about 15 years or longer - starting
with the boxed Wiz/Oz dolls that my sons and mumz started buying for me
at my Phi Theta Kappa Induction ceremony, b-days, etc. Then when my mum
died, I started haunting the thrift stores out of loneliness and kept
finding these Barbies in such disrepair -that I felt compelled to rescue
them!"
"So, I started rehabilitating the dolls and my collection grew
into more specialty Barbies until I got involved in doll shows and art
contests ( I make OOAK Barbies like Jack and Sally from 'The Nightmare
Before Christmas', and Oberon and Titania from 'A Midsummer Night's
Dream', etc). I probably 're-homed' close to 1000 Barbies"
"I began collecting bigger dolls - trying to recapture the dolls of my
youth: Baby Chrissy, Teen Chrissy, the Vintage Walker dolls, Tubsy and
Peggy PenPal. Now I have collected some of the historical American Girl
dolls along with the JLY, etc. from Ebay mostly. I have a few Ott
dolls, and Madame Alexander, a couple Karito Kids, 2 My 18" Twinn Boys (
I bought those new , and a bunch of refurbished 23" My Twinn dolls."
One of the reasons this email and channel I felt were worth mentioning is that I personally believe in the healing power of play. Of Doll Play in particular. And yes I believe it at any age. Like my own story Shosy, came back to dolls and doll play at a crucial point in her own life. Rediscovered her love of dolls through her journey of grief, much like my own when her mom passed. More then collection and lovingly restoring dolls she has now come through that grieving process stronger and able to share her findings and help others through doll play and that my friends is truly an amazing and wonderful testament to doll play.
So thank you to Shosy and to all of you who help make the world a better place through your love of dolls and doll play and for taking the time to read my blog. Be sure to click here to subscribe to Shosy's channel.

Have you ever wanted to really clean your dolls vinyl? Wondered how to remove oil and dirt safely from your dolls? When just baking soda and water doesn't do the trick, you need to know aboutFormula 911 From Twin Pines of Maine.
This is a wonderful doll care product you can purchase on line from Twin Pines of Maine
I was recently sent this from dollspart and choose Ruthie as my first doll to give a make over...
I did not have to scrub hard or soak the dolls arms and legs, the dirt just wiped off!
The dirt on Ruthie's face was a lot more then I had thought, I was surprised at how dark my cotton balls were!
I am truly impressed by this product and it's results, it removed the dirt I could see and the dirt I did not even know about!
You can order Formula 911 from either http://www.twinpines.com or www.dollspart.com.
Check out Formula 911 on line by clicking here Thank you to Barbara for sending this wonderful new product my way! I can not wait to use it on all my dolls.

Today I am sharing with you my Second Youtube One Minute Doll Chat and reviewing the Purchase with Purchase outfit I got on my latest trip to the American Girl Doll Store. This time I went to the LA Store.
I enjoyed my quick trip into the store and loved how it was laid out!
The store is set up with a wonderful display on two floors of Isabelle's collection, which is really a pretty collection. You can have your photos taken up stairs and down stairs with Isabelle.
Upstairs there was an area for all the historical dolls with their own little shops, the window displays were so well done and stocked well. The sad part was seeing Molly's area, which was filled with more Caroline items. Julie's Area was my favorite!
The Bitty area stole my heart, so many wonderful items for the baby dolls!
Two items I am kicking myself for not picking up is the luggage seat which also makes a great highchair/booster seat/car seat for dolls and the beautiful tea set for Bitty and Girls.
I love seeing all the dolls of the year displayed as well.
The Special Offer Purchase with Purchase was so cute I could not leave it behind. For $14 you get a hat, t-shirt with 2014 on it which is a great keep sake and the bracelet! It was so worth the drive just to see the store and pick up the Special offer.
I had a wonderful time in store and am thankful my husband and children allowed me the time to shop and explore this fantastic store.

This outfit is by far the best outfit in my dolls collection! I love the skirt but it's the button sweater that gets me so excited, little pretty pearl buttons and no velcro to get stuck in your dolls hair!
I love the new patent shoes. The color is perfect, and they fit all my 18 inch dolls. I highly recommend these shoes and they come in so many wonderful colors! Did you know that Doll Shoes fit easily in large plastic Easter Eggs and they don't cause cavities? Just a tip from this Friend of the Easter Bunny!
Check out my Youtube Channel and please tell your friends, I will be posting more 1 minute doll chats with Karen Mom of Three soon as well as announcing some fun give a way's you are not going to want to miss!
Thank you to Springfield Collection for sending me these wonderful products to review.

I love to feature young designers and entrepreneurs here and I have found a wonderful shop and young lady who creates her doll outfits from patterns she has created her self and pairs them with patterns from Liberty Jane. She also creates shirts for Ali of Girl of the year studios.
Offers items she has created such as skirts and tops for under $10.
I asked Charlotte to share with us a bit about herself and her shop. "I started sewing when I was almost 9 years old, right after I got my first doll Taryn." (Taryn is a Canadian Doll from a Company Called Maplelea) Q:How many dolls do you have? The seven dolls I have are: Taryn (Maplelea Girl), Kit, Chrissa, Astrid (Sonali, GOTY 2009 BFF), Aisha (#39), Bridget (Lanie, GOTY 2010), Maizee-Liss (Felicity. retired Historical) Q:What do you want to do when you are older? When I grow up I want to be: a Hairstylist, a Musician, a professional blogger, and a film director. I really want to direct big films, but I might also want to start my own little private company to make films like Michel Gondry. Q: What is new for your shop this season? Next in my shop I have a couple of Christmas items (dresses, PJ's, shirts etc!) and I have a cute pair of destroyed jeans coming up in January :)
