According to In Style magazine, butterflies are a big Spring theme for
accessories. Madelon saved a dress that her daughter outgrew and decided to
see what she could make. Here above are her two easy outfits.
Her first dress is a drop waist dress,it is closed in the back with peel and stick Velcro circles. I cut a strip for the neck strap and tucked it in. The matching bag is by Batta, always use what you have on hand, mix and match!
The scarf can easily be paired with jeans or white shorts, Isabelle wears a scarf cut from the dress fabric. The skirt also attaches with Velcro.
Outfit looks so great with these shoes from Springfield Collection!
An evening gown for Emily....love the one strap.
It is amazing what you can do with left over fabric, or outfits and dresses your children out grown, even if you can not sew remember you can do so much with ribbons, glue and Velcro dots!
Thank you Madelon for sharing your ideas with us today!
As with all our posts we would love to hear from you so please leave us a comment here or email us at karenmowen@gmail.com
Cute outfits! I up-cycled a dress that my daughter outgrew into bean bag chairs for her dolls (I loved the fabric print so much, I couldn't bear to part with it) Now we get to enjoy them every time we look in her doll house
